Solar Company, KC Chamber Cuts Ribbon on New Olathe Office
OLATHE, KS – Sun Solar, which has been operating primarily in Southwest Missouri since 2012, will be significantly expand it’s Kansas City operations. On Thursday May 18th at 4pm, the company will be hosting a ribbon cutting with the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce for the Grand Opening of their new 5,500 square foot facility.
The new office expects to create approximately 100 new jobs over the course of the next 18 months, growing the company to over 250 employees in the Midwest. Aside from job growth, Sun Solar expects to have a major economic impact in the Kansas City area, adding tens of millions of dollars to the local economy through the sustainable development.
Over the past several years, Kansas City has been working to grow the clean energy economy. “Kansas City is a perfect fit for solar and energy efficiency. Since we began operating here in 2015, we’ve found so many people who are excited to have a locally owned, reputable company to turn to for their solar questions,” says Sun Solar Business Development Representative Mark Walter. “With the warm reception we’ve gotten, it’s clear that this investment in Kansas City is a great decision.”
With the cost of solar at an all-time low, Kansas City has seen a large influx of solar companies over the past year. Sun Solar’s most recent expansion is a strong signal of industry health in the region.
The ribbon cutting with be held at the new office location, 19000 W 158th St. Ste. G, Olathe, KS, 66062, on May 18th at 4pm. All are welcome to attend.
