Kansas City – The KHE Salon (formerly Hair Au Courant Salon) has received national attention for their extraordinary service to area cancer patients. The demand for service was so great that they are opening a new facility in KC.   Partnered with the Saint Luke’s Center for Women’s Care and The University of Kansas Cancer Center the program is among the first of its kind in the nation.   Chemotherapy often causes women to lose their hair.  Owner Khe Martin is giving back to the community in a very special way. She will be giving high quality real hair wigs and make-overs to improve the self-esteem of cancer victims as they go through very hard times.   The University of Kansas Cancer Center is one of the most recognized facilities in the country.  According to their annual report the center served over 6,000 patients last year, 56% were female. This new salon and program kick-off will take place Saturday (May 6) at 2707 W. 43rd Ave, Kansas City (near KU Med) from 5:30 to 8PM.   Previews on Friday are welcome.

Khe, a cancer patient and reps from Saint Lukes and UK will be on hand. Khe will be happy to do a LIVE demonstration and make-over.
