Marley Sugar Recognized as Emerging Dietetic Leader of the Year Area dietitian receives state-level award for leadership and commitment to profession

Marley Sugar, RD, LD of Overland Park, KS, has been named the Emerging Dietetic Leader of the Year by the Kansas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (KSAND). This award recognizes a dietitian who has made distinctive contributions early in their career. Dietitians who receive this honour support the promotion of optimal health and nutritional status of the public through demonstrating leadership in legislation, research, education, management, or other areas related to the profession.

Marley Sugar is currently the Health and Wellness Program Manager for Midwest Dairy Association. She has held numerous leadership positions on the state and local level, including her current role as KSAND membership chair.

Marley Sugar was presented her award during KSAND’s Awards Banquet held in conjunction with their annual conference at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Overland Park, KS, on April 28, 2017.
