Headline: Tom Watson to host “Down Range Clinic” for Disabled Veterans

What: The Midwest Section of the PGA announces the PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) program with an introductory golf clinic given by Hall-Of-Fame golfer Tom Watson. The “Down Range Clinic” will be on May 4th from 10:00-12:00 at Shoal Creek Golf Course (8905 N. Shoal Creek Pkwy, Kansas City, MO).

This clinic is designed to introduce the sport to service-members and veterans to help recruit them for the FREE 5 week extended sessions of instruction that are held every Thursday starting May 11th at Shoal Creek from 8:30-11:30 with lunch provided following the additional clinics.

The purpose of PGA HOPE is to help Veterans assimilate back into their communities through the social interaction the game of golf provides. Led by Midwest Section PGA Professionals attendees will learn the fundamentals of the game with a specialized program for disabled/PTSD Veterans.

Veterans who wish to sign up are asked to provide the following information to Rick at the Midwest Section PGA (rschultz@pgahq,com) or fax 816-229-9644. Please provide: Name, address, E-Mail, Cell number, Military Branch, Rank, and VA Hospital or Base in which they are affiliated with or a patient of.
