MEDIA ADVISORY Cleveland University-Kansas City and Baker University Sign Articulation Agreement

Cleveland University-Kansas City (CUKC) and Baker University (Baker) are formalizing a new partnership with an articulation agreement signing event. The partnership provides qualified students from Baker’s undergraduate exercise science program to attend the CUKC doctor of chiropractic graduate program. Media members are welcome.

When: Tuesday, April 11th, 2017

Two Locations: •Baker hosts the first signing at 1pm on its Baldwin City, Kansas Campus in the Lincoln-Kemper room inside historic Parmenter Hall at 706 Dearborn. •The signing party will travel to the CUKC Spiritual Center at 10850 Lowell Avenue in Overland Park, Kansas for the 3pm signing.

Who: The platform party includes the architects of the agreement: President Dr. Carl Cleveland III and Dr. Gery Hochanadel of CUKC, and President Lynne Murray and Dr. Chris Todden of Baker.

Quotes: “Baker University is proud to partner with an institution of Cleveland University-Kansas City’s caliber,” Dr. Murray said. “Exercise science is one of Baker’s fastest growing majors. As the program continues to evolve to fulfill the needs of the booming allied health field and prepare students for the rigors of graduate school, this partnership ensures that our students who want to study chiropractic science can continue their education at an institution with a rich history of excellence in the field.”

“Cleveland’s academic leadership joins with me in celebrating this articulation agreement, as we have had many of Baker’s Exercise Science graduates enroll and thrive in the Cleveland doctor of chiropractic program. These Baker students come well prepared in the prerequisite sciences, and bring a true appreciation of the importance of proper exercise and joint biomechanics, that is so fundamental to chiropractic practice and patient management.” said Dr. Carl S. Cleveland III, CUKC President and grandson of the founders.

“This 3+3 articulation agreement formalizes a partnership between two outstanding institutions and provides for a well-defined, smooth transition for Baker students to concurrently finish a bachelor degree in exercise science while enrolled in the CUKC Doctor of Chiropractic program,” states Dr. Gery Hochanadel of CUKC.
