Scooter’s Coffee Hosting Second Annual Day of Giving for Blue Springs High Schools; National Coffee Franchisee Partners with Local Football Teams for Service Trip

Blue Springs, MO, April 3, 2017 – Scooter’s Coffee, the Midwest-based coffee franchise that has experienced tremendous growth over the past year, announced that the Blue Springs location (1116 SW 7 Hwy) will host a special Day of Giving for Blue Springs High School and Blue Springs South High for the second year in a row. On Saturday, April 8, all proceeds from the day’s sales will be donated to sending the schools’ football teams on a service trip to build homes in Jamaica.

“We truly feel that Scooter’s is a part of the Blue Springs community, and as such, it is extremely important for us to get involved in local causes,” said Melanie Graeve, who owns the location. “We did this Day of Giving for the first time last year, and we were blown away by the enthusiasm from the schools and the town of Blue Springs. We are so excited to bring the groups together again this year!”

Football players of both high schools will be traveling to Jamaica, where they will help construct homes for Harmons, a jungle valley community.

“We want to show these students that the whole community is behind them,” Graeve said.

Players from both teams will be attending the Day of Giving to collect donations.
