The Sumner Academy Class of 1996 Alumni Fund was created to provide assistance to youth in the Kansas City area. Last year, in honor of their 20th reunion, they formed a 501(c) 3 non-profit to provide assistance to youth who grew up in the same communities they shared. Their mission is to pay it forward through charitable activities, youth outreach programs and education contributions. Their alumni are a distinguished group of business professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, healthcare professionals, lawyers, clergy, military, parents, and friends.

With the support of their alumni and generous donors in the Kansas City area, they are proud to recognize and support their 2017 Scholarship Recipients: Demitra L. Carter (Sumner Academy)- $1000 Awardee; Corajean L. Cunningham (Washington High School)- $1000 Awardee; Brandon M. Bush (Sumner Academy)- $250 Awardee; and Elizabeth Santillan (Sumner Academy)- $250 Awardee.

Please join them for this inaugural event. RSVP is not required.
