Asian Chamber's 14th Annual Gala

The Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City is hosting its 14th Annual Awards Gala. This year’s event will be held at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel located at 6100 College Boulevard, Overland Park, Kan. 66211 on Thursday, May 1, 2017 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The AACC will be honoring the accomplishments of local Asian Americans in business, community service, and professional leadership. Awards to be presented at the Gala include: Entrepreneur of the Year, Professional Leader, Civic Leader and Corporation of the Year. In addition, a keynote speech will be delivered and dinner will be served.

This year’s keynote speaker is Brian Wong. Mr. Wong is the co-founder and CEO of Kiip (pronounced “keep”), a category-creating mobile rewards network that is redefining mobile advertising. Kiip has been named one of the World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company, listed by Forbes as one of the Four Hot Online Ad Companies to Put on Your Watch List, and included on the Dow Jones FasTech50 List. Brian has also recently authored “The Cheat Code: Going Off Script to Get More, Go Faster, and Shortcut Your Way to Success”.

Ray Kowalik, Chairman and CEO of Burns & McDonnell, will serve as honorary chair.
