Mardi Gras Mah Jongg Party for 50 Plus planned for Feb. 28 in Roeland Park
“Laissez les bon temps roulez!” Let the good times roll at a Mardi Gras marathon of Mah Jongg being planned by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
This new special event is called the Mardi Gras Mah Jongg Party, and will take place on Feb. 28 at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood, Roeland Park. Bring your friends, favorite foursome, or meet new players and enter to win prizes. We’ll keep you energized this Fat Tuesday with coffee, snacks, lunch, and dessert. To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 plus and then under hobbies & special interests. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword “games.”
The fun begins at 9 a.m.. The cost for this six-hour program is $13 per person. Please register for the Mardi Gras Mah Jongg Party before Feb. 23. For more information or to sign up, call (913) 831-3359. To register online at www.jcprd.com, click on the green “Register for Activities” button and complete a barcode search for 36932.
While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus class are invited to call the 50 Plus Department at (913) 826-3030 for space availability.
Printed copies of JCPRD’s Activities catalog are available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches.
