Historic Brookside Boutique, Shop Beautiful, Sets Grand Reopening For This Weekend

BROOKSIDE – Shop Beautiful, a historic boutique specializing in gifts, jewelry and accessories since 1936, announces that it will celebrate its grand reopening upon the conclusion of its remodel this Friday thru Sunday, January 27 thru January 29.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the results of the remodel. It’s extremely exciting to invite all of Brookside and Kansas City back to rediscover Shop Beautiful and our incredible, modern new look,” one of the boutique’s owners, Abbey Fields, said.

The goal of the remodel, according to the owners, was to modernize the shopping experience at Shop Beautiful while keeping alive its classy yet adventurous spirit, and while paying homage to the rich history of the long-standing store and brand.

To celebrate the grand reopening, customers who visit any time during the weekend will receive 10 percent off of their entire purchases. Plus, in the great tradition of Shop Beautiful serving as a social hub, when any customer visits the store this weekend and brings along a friend, both will receive 20 percent off their entire purchase that day.

“The remodel makes the space feel totally new, but we’ve included elements from our long history in Kansas City as well as the history of some of our long-standing customers. It’s a wonderful new experience that still embodies all of the things that Shop Beautiful has stood for since the beginning,” said Sarah Martin Douglas, additional owner of the shop and sister of Abbey. “We think our customers are going to love discovering the new Shop Beautiful!”

Shop Beautiful has operated in Brookside since 1936 providing customers with unique gifts, jewelry, fine housewares, accessories and other specialty items. It has been a woman-owned enterprise since its inception. The store is located at 320 W 63rd St. in Kansas City, Mo.
