Downtown Lawrence Inc., gears up for Lawrence’s third annual Downtown Lawrence Restaurant Week.
Join us for a feast of creativity during the third annual Downtown Lawrence Restaurant Week. Downtown restaurants will be cooking up something different and serving up fresh ideas to delight both your taste buds and your imagination. With over twenty restaurants celebrating the eclectic restaurant scene of downtown Lawrence, there's something for every taste. Menus range from the exotic to the familiar, with a twist. Consider Berber spiced sea trout with cucumber yogurt & pumpkin; Mushroom and hazelnut strudel; Chicken confit pizza with béchamel, gruyere & local greens; Chorizo Scotch egg with spaghetti squash, tomatillo cream & pickled pepper; Kobe beef hot dog with foie gras & lingonberry jam; Shiitake and oyster mushroom gyoza; Choucroute Garni; Chocolate tres leches cake, Butternut squash pudding and even breakfast fare such as Tofu chilaquiles.
Participating restaurants include: Free State Brewing Co., 715, Ingredient, Limestone, The Mad Greek, Global Café, TEN Restaurant at The Eldridge, The Jayhawker, Terrebonne Po’ Boys, Genovese, Ramen Bowls, Wa Japanese & Sushi, The Burger Stand, Taco Zone, Port Fonda, Fuzzy’s Tacos, Jefferson’s, Quinton’s, Pita Pit, Mass St. Fish House & Raw Bar, Lucia and Merchant’s Pub & Plate.
Each restaurant will prepare creative and original dishes not found on their regular menus. Some will offer tasting menus for $35 or less per person; others will offer special items from $5 and up. We’ve had several incredible new restaurants join the Downtown dining scene since our last event and of course we have many old favorites included as well. Just bring your appetite and your sense of adventure. ”
