Gift Card Impressions Goes On A #GivingSpree To Raise Awareness About Their Gift Tokens™ App

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (January. 10, 2017) – Gift Card Impressions, a leader in the gift card industry has launched a social media campaign focused on promoting the positive aspects of giving in an effort to raise awareness about their new Gift Tokens mobile application.

“We want to make it easier for people to be more thoughtful and appreciative for all of the moments (big and small) in their lives.” said GCI Senior Vice President of Creative Dominique O’hara. “The Gift Tokens app helps people go above and beyond a simple ‘thank you’ by allowing them to send a personalized gift, like a Chipotle Burrito or movie tickets, via email or SMS text message.”

Through the #GivingSpree campaign, GCI will give away more than 500, $10 Gift Tokens to people who engage with us via social media. Friends and followers will be encouraged to treat themselves when they receive a Gift Token, or pay it forward and send the token to someone they care about.

“We love the concept of paying it forward, so we want to give something to our social media community that they can personalize and send to make someone’s day a little brighter,” said O’hara. “As we begin a new year most of us strive to show more gratitude and the Gift Tokens app is a simple, fun and personalized way to make it happen.”

GiftTokens is a free mobile app that can be downloaded from either the Google Play or Apple app stores. Users of the app can choose from more than 75 different gifts from national retailers including Chipotle, Sephora, The Cheesecake Factory, Dunkin Donuts, Barnes and Noble and many more. Each gift is delivered to the recipient as a digital gift card via email or SMS text message.

“As a society, we’re good at giving gifts for major holidays like birthdays and anniversaries, but we often aren’t encouraged to give small gifts in recognition of the little things that pop up in between. For example, when your neighbor lets your dog out, or a co-worker picks up some extra slack while you’re out on vacation,” said O’hara. “It’s these ‘micro-gifting’ moments that we want to make easy to accomplish and we want to kick off a nationwide pay-it-forward movement with this campaign. We’ll give the gifts and let the community take care of the rest.”

The campaign is already in motion. People can participate in the #GivingSpree by visiting GiftTokens on Facebook, Twitter and http://gift-tokens.com/givingspree.
