Applebee's Launches Historic Gift Card Bonus Program

Local Applebee’s Franchisee Shocks Retail Industry with a new “Double Bonus” Offer on Gift Card Purchases of $50 or More.

(KANSAS CITY, MO, Nov. 17, 2016) – Applebee’s has redefined the term “Gift Card Bonus” this holiday season! For a limited time, select locations throughout the Midwest are offering twice their traditional holiday bonus, or a total of $20 in bonus cards, for every $50 gift card purchased. Guests will receive one $10 card that can be used on their next visit and one that can be used anytime in 2017.

The “Double Your Bonus” Gift Card Program was initially launched in early November as an exclusive offer to their email club members. It was so well received that Applebee’s decided to expand the program and offer it to the general public. “The response to our Double Your Bonu” Gift Card Program was absolutely extraordinary,” said Applebee’s Marketing Director, Scott Fischer. “Although the offer is now open to the general public, our plan in 2017 is to make this one of the perks we offer for being a member of our eclub.” Each restaurant has a set number of these special packages to sell, so Applebee’s is encouraging their guests to buy their gift cards early before they run out. “The Double Your Bonus Program is the first phase of their new “Neighborhood Values” campaign designed to offer significant values on food, drinks and gift cards over the holidays and into 2017.

The Holiday “Double Your Bonus” offer is a regional program featured by Apple Central, a franchise of Applebee’s Grill & Bar, and is only available for a limited time at certain locations. This program is said to be one of many that they will be launching from now into 2017, including their All Day Every Day Happy Hour and daily food & drink specials!
