FORCE Kansas City Group - Fundraiser This Event spreads awareness about hereditary breast, ovarian and related cancers

Tampa, FL (August 1, 2016) – FORCE: Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered will be assisting and hosting the BINGO event at Hamburger Mary's in KC while spreading the word that if you have a history of breast or ovarian cancer in your family, you can get tested and find out if you have the BRCA gene. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. This fundraising event will be hosted by the local Kansas City FORCE Outreach Group where proceeds will be dedicated to providing awareness, education and support to the local hereditary breast, ovarian and related cancer (HBOC) community.

“Approximately 2.4 million women are at increased risk for breast and ovarian cancer because of their family history,” said FORCE Founder and Executive Director Sue Friedman. “Sadly, most of these women are unaware of their risk for cancer, or the implications for themselves and family members. We hope these events will empower families with life-saving information.”
