Haley Sellmeyer Chosen to exhibit her work in the show "Get Fierce"

Kansas City, Missouri– June 1, 2016/ – Artist Haley Sellmeyer- granddaughter of Dale and Debbie Stottlemire of Princeton, KS announced today that her series entitled "Rainbow Art" was selected to be displayed in the "Get Fierce" show at Paper Birch Landing Gallery in Kansas City, Missouri. Haley Sellmeyer is an Emerging Artist who is 8 years old. Haley has been painting since she was just a year old. This will be Haley's third gallery show.

(BODY – 1) Haley Sellmeyer's abstract series “Rainbow Art" was chosen by the Art Director of Paper Birch Landing to be a part of the June 2016 Show "Get Fierce" . Haley's "rainbow series" is infused with bold color choices and line work. Haley first showed at Paper Birch Landing in February 2016 when her art was selected through a juried process for the show "Small Loves. Her Rainbow art collection represents "Happiness" and "Peace" in her own life and what she hopes her art brings to other's lives. Her inspiration for this collection came from her favorite pillow. Haley's pillow makes her spirit happy and feel at peace. It's abstract design- incorporates the spectrum of the rainbow. Haley finds inspiration for her art in observing her environment and what makes her heart smile everyday.

Haley Sellmeyer lives and creates her art in the state of Kansas Regarding this art show Sellmeyer stated “I am very pleased to be chosen by Paper Birch Landing Gallery for the show Get Fierce. I "got fierce" with this collection by experimenting with texture and color and going outside of my comfort zone from the art I normally create. Painting is my passion and I'm so happy to be able to share this collection." The Art reception opening night for "Get Fierce" is Friday, June 10th 2016. This event is open and free to the public.

Paper Birch Landing Gallery opened in November of 2016. The gallery hosts four juried shows per year. In addition to this, the gallery hosts group and solo shows. Paper Birch Landing Gallery represents emerging and established artists from the states of Kansas and Missouri. In addition to art shows, the gallery has a full range of classes including painting,writing and healing arts. Paper Birch Landing Gallery also hosts two artists in residence, Nicholas K Clark 2016-2017 and Natosha Keefer 2016-2017. Truly a home for all creative, the gallery also hosts poets, musicians, jewelers and crafters.

About Haley Sellmeyer:

Haley Sellmeyer lives and creates in Kansas where she attends elementary school. Haley has shown at festivals, galleries, businesses and charity events in Kansas and Missouri. Haley will be attending the Swans Art Festival in Ottawa this June. Haley loves to create art for charity events because it is her way to give back to her community. Haley is working every year to grow as an artist and hopes to one day travel world wide showing her art. She is thankful to the support of her parents, Paper Birch Landing Gallery, and her patrons who champion her as an artist and who push her to share her art with the world.
