Sea Life Aquarium Kansas City starts Turtle Fest with Turtle Education Day

Kansas City, Missouri (May 12, 2014) – Turtles will flood SEA LIFE Aquarium Kansas City during Turtle Education Day on May 17, 2014. The attraction has partnered with Lakeside Nature Center and Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center to bring various species of turtles to raise awareness about turtle conservation in the Midwest.
During Turtle Education Day, guests can observe and learn about the various types of turtles, including an African spurred tortoise, musk turtle, red-eared sliders, ornate box turtle, plus many more.
Turtle Education Day is part of Turtle Fest which will include fun and exciting activities for young and old alike. Activities available during Turtle Fest include an educational scavenger hunt, turtle talks and the movie of a green sea turtle’s journey to Kansas City. Activities during Turtle Fest will take place May 12-23, 2014.
As part of Turtle Fest, SEA LIFE Aquarium Kansas City’s Facebook page, is hosting a contest to win an exclusive VIP package where the winner will receive a behind-the-scenes tour of the attraction.
