March 14, 2014 – Kansas City, MO – Chaz on the Plaza offers gastronomes, oenophiles, cocktail enthusiasts and fun seekers three March culinary events in addition to the restaurants weekly specials.
Titus Vineyards Wine Dinner - Eric Titus, Titus Vineyards manager of vineyard operations, presents six wines from his family’s Napa Valley estate. Notable wines include the vineyard’s 2011 Adronicus Red Blend and 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve (rated 92 by Wine Spectator and 93 by Wine Advocate). Chef Charles d'Ablaing orchestrates a food course to complement each wine. Dinner is $135 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. Cocktail Prix Fixe Dinner – The dinner is an experimental culinary collaboration between Charles d'Ablaing, executive chef, and Deanna Brazil, director of food & beverage. The dinner allows epicureans to experience food and beverage chemistry in action over five courses of modern, regional American cuisine paired with hand-crafted cocktails. Bushmills or Jameson? In honor of St. Patrick's Day, Chaz invites Kansas City's Irish community to weigh in on the centuries old preference debate. Irish Whiskey fans may sample both Bushmills and Jameson Irish whiskeys on St. Patrick’s Day for only $10, then cast a vote for their favorite. Results of Chaz’s unscientific straw poll will be announced online and in a future eNewsletter. Interested parties may receive the results by registering to be part of the Chaz eFriends community. In addition, Irish beer lovers may take advantage of $5 St. Patrick’s Day specials on Guinness, the Irish import, and Weston Brewing's Leaping Leprechaun Ale, the local challenger.
