CALL FOR GARMENT & ACCESSORIES DESIGNERS

CALL FOR GARMENT & ACCESSORIES DESIGNERS

Ceremony’s Sacred Hour Paint your Face and Wear Your Power from the Runway to the Street Decorated Hands and Feet

The producers of the West 18th Street Fashion Show are now requesting applications for the 14th annual show, Ceremonial Summer. The daily ceremony of getting dressed determines our intention, the passage of hours, our social standing, and how we consider ourselves. What we wear in the progression of our lives is determined by our class and culture, our spiritual beliefs, and our access to material and information. From birth to death, our garments tell the story of who we are and where we are from.

Ceremonial Summer will include up to eighteen carefully curated collections that explore the idea of how we mark time. From initiations to coronations, we are looking for a sophisticated take on the process of celebration and transition. In our fourteenth year, the West 18th Street Fashion Show will bring together a dynamic group of garment and accessories designers who understand the visual space between costuming and high fashion. We intend to present an innovative and inspiring event by selecting an activated and strong group of designers who are willing to take risks and work hard.

To apply, submit the following by March 17:
