The 6th annual Sweetheart Run 5K Run/Walk will be held Sunday morning, February 16th at 9am at the Ritz Charles (132nd and Antioch) in Overland Park, KS. The race starts and finishes at the Ritz Charles and loops throughout the surrounding streets. Participants can team with loved ones or friends and compete for the title of the fastest male, female, or two-person team in Kansas City, while individuals compete for age group prizes. In addition to awards for the fastest couples, everyone wins a finishers medal and a great long sleeve race shirt. Packet pick-up will be at Gary Gribbles at 119th and Quivira on February 15 from 1-5pm. Or participants can pick up their packets on race day at the event site from 8:15-8:45am. The event benefits The Head for the Cure Foundation, who is dedicated to raising awareness and funding in the fight against brain cancer.
