Shawnee Rotary announces 2014 community service scholarships
Rotary Club of Shawnee Kansas Community Service Scholarships 2014
The Rotary Club of Shawnee Kansas will honor three outstanding high school seniors who have excelled at community service.
Three scholarships of $1000 each will be awarded to qualifying seniors who either reside in Shawnee,
Kansas or who attend a public or private high school there.
•Applications will be judged by club members.
•Family members of Rotarians are ineligible.
•Winners will be guests at the club’s regular Friday breakfast meeting April 11, 2014; 7:15 a.m. at Town Hall, Shawnee Town 1929, 11600 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, Kansas. At that time, winners will tell the club about themselves, their community service, and their post high school plans.
Applications must be postmarked or hand-delivered to Calvin McBride no later than Saturday, March 3, 2014.
•Scholarships need not be used in the 2014-2015 school year.
•Scholarships may be used at the post-secondary school of the student’s choice.
•Each scholarship will be paid directly to the post-secondary school after the student has enrolled.
•Applications are available from and should be returned to Calvin McBride.
