Ballet North to present full-length 'Beauty and the Beast'

Ballet North will present an all-original, full length ballet of the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast on Friday June 13 and Saturday June 14, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the Liberty North Performing Arts Theater 1000 NE 104th Street, Liberty MO 64068.

Telling the enthralling tale of Belle and the Young Prince / Beast this ballet is both epic in scale and still suitable for the entire family. "This is most definitely NOT a Disney version of the story!" says Artistic Director Laura Reinschmidt. She states further: "There is a lot of the story that never gets told and that is just as compelling and exciting as what we've seen in the animated movie and other attempts to tell this story over the past 100 years. I like to think we have managed to capture more of the entire grand and epic tale in this ballet!"

The production will feature the Ballet North Company and the students of the Ballet North Academy.

Tickets will be available online at www.balletnorth.com starting April 20, 2014 and will be reserve seating.

Beauty and the Beast by Ballet North is supported in part by the Arts Council of Kansas City - Arts KC.
