Love in the Afternoon programs for 50 Plus feature great music and cuisine on Feb. 4 & 7
Two programs of fine cuisine and exceptional music are planned during February as part of a series of lunch programs being offered by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District's 50 Plus Department.
The events are called Love in the Afternoon. All programs begin at noon. The first February program will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Colonial Presbyterian Church, 9500 Wornall, Kansas City, Mo., while the other will take place on Friday, Feb. 7, at the Lenexa Baptist Church, 15320 W. 87th St. Parkway, Lenexa. Other upcoming sessions this season are planned for April 1 at Colonial Presbyterian and April 4 at Lenexa Baptist.
To find these programs in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 Plus and then under special events. In the catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords "musical entertainment.”
The cost for each two-hour program, including lunch and a show, is $14 per ticket, and must be purchased in advance by calling Shawnee Heartland Assisted Living at (913) 248-6688.
The JCPRD's Activities catalog, with information and a registration form, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches. For updated program listings, visit the District's website at www.jcprd.com.
