"Six Weeks in Petrograd": Local author takes readers on White Nights journey in debut novel

KANSAS CITY, Mo - (Dec. 15, 2013) - Lila knew what she wanted in life. Or so she thought. A young professional lost in the life she created, Lila impulsively volunteers for a six-week work trip to Russia, knowing very little about the country and understanding even less about the adventure awaiting her.

Six Weeks in Petrograd transports readers through the white nights of Russia, cobblestone streets of Estonia, unexpected friendships, and the virtual crossroads in the mind of a young woman trying desperately to find her way.

Dreaming one day of becoming a published author, Tiffany focused her undergraduate studies on Journalism and Russian at the University of Iowa and ventured to Russia after college to study at The Herzen Institute in St. Petersburg. Returning with a newfound appreciation for the beauty and gift of the life that lay before her, she was determined to make the most of her journey and enjoy the ride.

After receiving a law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, Tiffany settled in Kansas City where she lives with her husband, Alan, and two sons, Max and Finn. Tiffany continues to practice law, is a contributing writer to North Magazine and M Magazine, and is a member of the adjunct faculty at a local university. Six Weeks in Petrograd is her first novel.
