WHAT: Girl Scout Cookie Program Kick-Off – Come join Girl Scouts and their families as they get ready to participate in the Annual Cookie Program. Girls will take part in various cookie business (financial literacy and marketing activities), learn about the cookies and just have Fun as they prepare for the annual program beginning January 1. Activities include Cookie Money (presented by National Bank of KC) – girls will learn selling tips, how to make change and how to set goals for spending and saving; Cookie Spirit – led by the Oak Park High School cheerleaders come learn fun songs you can sing at your booth sale; Bling out your Booth Sale Contest – selling cookies at community locations is the key to success / a great looking booth gets you even more noticed, one troop will win a great prize.
WHY:The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-run business in the world. Girls learn five key skills while participating – money management, goal setting, people skills, business ethics and decision making.
WHO:Hundreds of Girl Scouts ages Kindergarten – 12th Grade
