Kansas City real estate brokerage launches senior initiative

Kansas City Real Estate Brokerage Launched Senior Initiative (Kansas City, MO) Dec 6, 2013 – Senior Adults are playing a larger role in home sales. In fact, the National Association of Realtors Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers states in 2012 that 1 in 4 home sellers was over the age of 65. We are witnessing the same trend in 2013. In response to this reality, Keller Williams Platinum Partners in Lee’s Summit is the first brokerage to receive the designation of being “Senior Certified” by the Senior Real Estate Institute. Achieving the (CSHP) Certified Senior Housing Professional designation allows us to provide the specialized training necessary to help our partner professionals focus our attention on seniors. To assure that these elder clients have the best possible representation, understand their options and have the resources necessary to accomplish their goals, The SENIOR division of Keller Williams Platinum Partners Lee’s Summit has launched an initiative to create a Network of Professionals to serve this community. Area professionals were invited to an informational luncheon wherein 68 were in attendance creating an initial focus group. The goals are to have a vetted network of professionals, non-industry specific, to respond to the needs of seniors. By modifying our procedures and systems and continually educating ourselves on senior living needs and housing options, Keller Williams can take the extra steps to insure that our community seniors are well served. Through our singular focus, we simplify the late-in-life move process and assist older adults as they transition from their homes of 50+ years thereby creating a positive difference in the lives of many.
