Durrie Vision Announces New Chief Executive Officer Naming of Harry S. Campbell Seen as 'Significant' Step Forward
Overland Park, KS (December 9, 2013) – Durrie Vision, an internationally recognized refractive surgery practice specializing in laser vision correction and refractive surgery research, today announced the appointment of Harry S. Campbell as its Chief Executive Officer. This is the first time the business will be led by a non-physician in since its founding in 1991.
Campbell brings significant senior management experience and a track record of success to this new position leading Durrie Vision. He has held executive leadership positions in two fortune 500 companies, co-owned an award-winning small business in Kansas City, led an internet start-up and was founding member of the Wal-Mart/P&G Customer Team.

Dr. Durrie currently serves as the Chief Physician Officer for Alphaeon, a lifestyle medicine organization based in California focused on innovation in the lifestyle medicine industry.

As president of the Consumer Markets division, Harry was responsible for nearly half of Embarq's annual revenue and an organization of 3,000 employees. His group provided marketing, sales, service and operational support for a full line of communication and entertainment services to 4 million residential customers in 18 states.
Harry holds a bachelor's degree in East Asian History and Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA with a concentration in marketing from Indiana University's Kelley Graduate School of Business.

Durrie, MD Dr. Daniel Durrie is a board certified Ophthalmologist and an internationally recognized refractive surgeon with more than 35 years of experience in corneal and refractive surgery. He has dedicated his career to pioneering procedures to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia.
Dr. Durrie has received numerous prestigious awards and honors from the International Society of Refractive Surgery. About Jason P. Brinton, MD Dr. Jason Brinton, specializes in both refractive lens exchange and laser vision correction procedures to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia.
Dr. Brinton is a board certified, 3rd generation Ophthalmologist and member of the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Brinton’s research data has been published in many medical journals and publications.
He earned his medical doctorate from Harvard Medical School and completed his fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery under joint appointment with Durrie Vision and The University of Kansas.
