Bootstraps Toastmasters Hosts 55th Anniversary Celebration

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, UNITED STATES, November 5, 2013—Bootstraps Toastmasters (, invites downtown professionals and residents to its 55th anniversary meeting on Wednesday, November13 at Kansas City, Missouri City Hall. Chartered on November 1, 1958, Bootstraps is the oldest Toastmasters club in the Kansas City area.

“Bootstraps Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills,” says Jaime Mitchell, Club President for Toastmasters 2863.

Members and guests will enjoy a regular Toastmasters meeting that will include prepared speeches, Table Topics™ (impromptu speeches) and evaluations. In addition, former members will participate in meeting roles and speeches.

Club Sergeant at Arms, Bill Hathorne, who recently earned the Competent Communicator award, says that Bootstraps "continues to build on 55 years of excellence in speaking." He points out the "longstanding friendliness" as one of the key attribute of the club.
