CALL TO ARTISTS - NKC Polar Arts Fest

Northtowne Arts Coalition (NAC) and North Kansas City present the 2013 Polar Arts Fest: This is an indoor FESTIVAL intended to raise funds for NAC, provide exposure & income for artists, and to entertain, engage, and attract people to North Kansas City, Saturday, November 30th. About 20 artists are expected to participate. Hours are 11am-6pm. The “North Pole” is Historical Screenland Armour Theatre & Armour Loft Event Space. PROCEDURE for selecting artists: *Everyone is invited to submit work to be juried. Submission does not guarantee being accepted into the 2013 Polar Arts Fest. There is no jury fee, this year. *Artists may submit up to 3 images of their work for jury consideration. If selected, the submissions and subsequent exhibit items offered for sale are to be of comparable quality. NAC et al, assumes no responsibility for displayed art. *Artists MUST SUPPLY THEIR OWN screens, display tables , boards, chairs , etc. to exhibit their work in the Loft “space.” Each space is 6’ x 8’ and there are no walls or structural support. There will be no space fee for this first , Polar Arts Fest. *The NAC Website is set up to accept digital uploads. All images should be in standard .jpeg format, at 72 DPI. Along with each image, please include your Name, Medium, Size and Price. This will serve as representation of what you intend to exhibit and sell. *Deadline for submission is 11:59 PM Tuesday, November 5, 2013. *Jury committee will meet to select the artists and their work on November 8th.
*Artists will be notified of their acceptance or rejection by Saturday, November 9th. Specifics about booth set-up times, etc. will be provided with this notice. *NAC will provide each artist with a book of 3-pg carbonless sales receipts and will handle the monetary exchange on your behalf.
*Artists who are members of NAC will receive 80% of all their sales. Non-members receive 70% of all their sales. *Submission instruction and details can be found at www.NAC-NKC.org
