High School Student-Athlete of the Year Award

Nate Mohler, Bishop Miege Senior, has been selected as the High School Student –Athlete of the Year Award. The High School Student-Athlete award will be given to Mohler on November 6 at 11:30 a.m. at the Kansas City Convention Center Grand Ballroom during the Inaugural Champions of Character Foundation Awards Luncheon. Nate was selected based on character and likeness to the NAIA’s Champions of Character program: Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership.

This luncheon celebrates the character values of those who make a difference in the culture of sport and in the Kansas City community. We will award five awards; high school student-athlete of the year, college student-athlete of the year, citizen of character, company of character and coach of character. Honorary Co-Chairs are Mark Donovan, President, Kansas City Chiefs; Dayton Moore, General Manager, Kansas City Royals and Robb Heineman, CEO, Sporting Club. Tom Osborne, NAIA alumnus and former University of Nebraska coach and administrator, will provide a keynote address on character.
