Olathe East High School Cheerleaders, along with support from Hy-Vee and Celebrities Sidewalk Cafe, raise $1,200 for the YMCA CHALLENGER PROGRAM during last weeks Olathe East vs. Olathe South tailgate celebration.

Check presentation ceremony will be held Friday, October 11, 2013 at 6:45pm at the COLLEGE BOULEVARD ACTIVITY CENTER, 11031 S. VALLEY PKWY, OLATHE, KS.

YMCA Vice President, Michelle Ford, will accept the donation along with YMCA Challenger kids and families.

The YMCA Challenger Program for children and young adults with special needs shines as an example of how participating in healthy activities can result in not only improved physical fitness but also personal growth, fun and friendships. Individuals 3-30 years of age with physical, developmental and intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive through recreational and social opportunities.
