Sprint Center Named America’s Seventh Busiest Arena

Kansas City, Mo. (Oct. 10, 2013) – Pollstar Magazine, a leading concert and venue industry publication, released their 2013 Third-Quarter Report in the Oct. 14 issue which includes rankings of the Top 100 Worldwide Arenas. Sprint Center is ranked as the seventh busiest arena in the United States and no. 21 among worldwide venues for live entertainment and concert ticket sales.

“Kansas City fans continue to impress with their insatiable appetite for world class entertainment,” said Brenda Tinnen, AEG Kansas City general manager and senior vice president. “Over the past six years, Kansas City has proven it’s standing as one of the premier live entertainment cities, not only in the Midwest, but throughout the entire country.”

Pollstar utilizes an extensive database to collect box office reports from nearly 100 percent of the world’s top-level artists, promoters and venues. Rankings are based on tickets sold for live entertainment performances between Jan. 1 and Sept. 30, 2013.
