Chaz on the Plaza participates in James Beard Foundation's Taste America Local Dish Challenge
September 19, 2013 – Kansas City, MO – Chaz on the Plaza executive chef Charles d’Ablaing has thrown his toque into the ring for the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America Local Dish Challenge. Through October 31, 2013, the Chaz dinner menu offers a locally sourced braised beef short rib entrée featuring Creekstone Farms Angus beef, wheat berry gratin with Beau Solais Mushroom Farm oyster mushrooms and City Bitty Farms amaranth. A percentage of proceeds from each local dish sold benefits the JBF Taste America education drive. In addition diners may win for Cultivate Kansas City a donation of $10,000 or 10% of the proceeds raised nationally, whichever is higher. The prize is awarded to a charity in the city with the most instagram uploads. To participate diners visit Chaz, order and photograph the Local Dish, and post to instagram with #JBFTasteamerica and #kansascity. The winning city will be announced at the conclusion of the promotion.
