Kansas Company Assists Pipeline company's during Colorado flooding
Due to the flooding in Colorado, Hawkeye Helicopter LLC of 401 S. Main Street, Ottawa, Kansas has deployed a portion of its helicopter and airplane fleet to assist pipeline companies in monitoring, assessing possible damages and support recovery-planning efforts caused by this disaster. Hawkeye Helicopter deployed a helicopter to Colorado from its Osage City, Kansas hangar facility, piloted by company owner, John (J.D.) Scott, to assist several pipeline companies who have facilities located in areas devastated by the flooding, which developed from steady rains high in the Rocky Mountains Northwest of Denver on Thursday, September 12, 2013. Hawkeye Helicopter also deployed a couple of their airplanes stationed at their Casper, Wyoming satellite office to assist in these efforts. Hawkeye Helicopter’s principal business activity is providing aerial patrols, surveillance and technical inspections to natural gas, petroleum and product pipeline companies with facilities located throughout the United States. As well as the daily services provided to pipeline companies, Hawkeye Helicopter also provides patrols, surveillance and technical inspections for electric transmission and distribution lines for electric companies. Hawkeye Helicopter currently provides services to more than 30 pipeline companies and more than 10 electric companies. Several of these pipeline companies are some of the largest in their industry. Hawkeye Helicopter has been in Business for 19 years with its corporate office located in Ottawa, Kansas. Hawkeye Helicopter’s main hangar, maintenance facility and base of helicopter operations is located in Osage City, Kansas and has satellite offices in Casper, Wyoming; Columbus, Nebraska; Salina, Kansas; Topeka, Kansas; Bowling Green, Kentucky and Jackson, Michigan.
