Save the Date for the 62nd-Annual Kappa Homes Tour Beloved Holiday Tradition Is Expanding this December
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 17, 2013) – The Greater Kansas City Alumnae Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma is proud to announce this year’s tour dates and beneficiaries. From Wednesday, Dec. 4 to Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, four exceptional homes will be on display, beautifully decorated for the holidays by local floral designers.
Proceeds from this year’s tour will benefit the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired (CCVI), the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation.
In recent years, the tour has been held on the first Tuesday and Wednesday of December. However, by adding an additional day and including a Friday, the Association aims to grow the tour’s community impact and increase the proceeds it is able to contribute to its recipients.
Capitol Federal, in its 10th year supporting the tour, will sponsor the Gift & Gourmet Shop at Homestead Country Club, which is open to the public. The Shop will again offer numerous vendors selling holiday gifts, jewelry, home goods and homemade treats.
Additional sponsors include AT&T, Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting, Roth Living and VML. Teresa Walsh (co-founder) and Kelsey Perry (co-president) of Silpada Designs have offered a matching gift challenge for individual donations.
Tour tickets will be available to purchase online at kappahomestour.com and at various retail outlets in the Kansas City area for $20 each beginning in November. Tickets may be purchased during the tour at the homes or the Gift & Gourmet Shop for $25 each.
