CrossFit Establish is Raising the Bar in Liberty

CrossFit Establish is raising the bar in Liberty.

Partners Casey Homoly, Austin Walsh, and Heath Burch have pooled resources and expertise to open Kansas City's newest, and most innovative CrossFit facility, CrossFit Establish.

“Because I travel a lot for work I have been able to see a lot of different CrossFit boxes. I basically took mental notes of the best things about all of them and then collaborated with Casey to make it a reality. What we’re making is really something special.” –Austin Walsh

Casey Homoly and Austin Walsh met a couple years ago through CrossFit. As their friendship grew, so to did their desire to create a brand new box (CrossFit Gym) that approached CrossFit from all angles. “We have equipped our facility to handle over 30 athletes at a time. A typical class size is 10-15 so this allows us to have many options for training. Not to mention our hot yoga studio and professional batting cages.” says Casey.

The two teamed up with Heath Burch to round out the partnership trio. Heath has a very extensive financial planning background and handles the business side of things. Casey is founding partner of one of KC’s leading construction companies, Homoly Construction and has been able to lead the build out of the facility. Austin, an advertising photographer and director with a studio in the Crossroads and an agent on the East Coast is able to brand and market CrossFit Establish.

With construction 90% done the three decided to open the doors to the public in September free of charge. Heath points out “Since we’re not 100% done we didn’t feel right charging people to come. But, at the same time we were so ready to get bodies in the door and people fired up about this place.” October is the official opening date. That’s when membership fees will kick in, along with a full schedule offering up to 8 classes per day, open gym times, and yoga classes.

It is hard not to get fired up about a place like CrossFit Establish. As soon as you walk in the 9,000sf space you’re taken over by the 22’ ceilings, the turf, the custom pull-up/lifting rigs and a sense that thought went into every detail. “CrossFit Establish is a CrossFit facility built for our members.” Casey says with pride. “We love CrossFit and want everyone that walks in this place to love it just as much as we do. It can change your life.”

CrossFit is a worldwide strength and conditioning fitness program designed for all ages. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional athlete, the CrossFit program is designed with universal scalability, making this the ideal exercise program for anyone, regardless of age or experience. You attain these goals using a wide variety of exercises, including running, rowing, plyometrics, gymnastics, weight training and Olympic weightlifting techniques. The CrossFit program is sure to challenge you, no matter your current athletic abilities.

Casey and Heath are residents of Liberty. Austin graduated from Liberty High School and now lives at Weatherby Lake.
