Free Flu Shot Clinic offered on Oct. 3 at Roeland Park Community Center
Help prevent the flu by participating in a free flu shot clinic in early October being offered by the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
This contagious respiratory illness is caused by influenza viruses and can cause mild to severe illness and occasionally death. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting a flu vaccination each year. Stop by this local clinic being put on by the American Red Cross to make sure you are protected against the flu this winter. This free clinic is offered from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood Dr., Roeland Park. In previous years, the cost was as much as $30 per person.
To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 plus and then under special events. In the printed catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword “health.”
The JCPRD’s Activities catalog is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches. For updated program listings, visit the District’s website at www.jcprd.com.
