Filipino association celebrates 45 years at September Affair

Kansas City, MO – Founded in 1968, the Filipino Association of Greater Kansas City proudly celebrates its 45th anniversary at the 2013 September Affair, to be held on September 28 at The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center (1 E Pershing Rd). It is traditionally the organization’s most anticipated social event and largest fundraising gala of the year.

Nearly 500 guests are expected to attend this extravagant evening, themed “Driven from Within,” beginning with a cocktail reception and multi-course dinner. Live entertainment and a cultural showcase follow; then guests are free to dance the night away to the sounds of Kansas City’s own MultiPhonic.

Tickets are $89 per person through September 6, after which they increase to $99 (based on availability). Seats may be reserved online at www.filipino-association.org/septemberaffair. In addition to tickets, information is available online for sponsorship, underwriting, table hosting, and advertising opportunities. Proceeds benefit the Filipino Cultural Center and the many activities of the Filipino Association.

The Filipino Association is a not-for-profit, non-political, and non-sectarian organization established to preserve, promote, and enhance Filipino culture through education and cultural arts, and to provide service to the community at-large through its projects and programs.
