Since 1999, Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter (FOPAS) volunteers have rescued thousands of abused and discarded cats and dogs, rehabilitated them, and placed them in loving homes. In addition to caring for the animals 365 days per year, volunteers work diligently to raise much-needed funds for veterinary bills, food, rent, and a permanent site to call “home.” Prior to adoption, each animal receives spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, and health tests. Community outreach efforts include a TNR (trap/neuter/return) program, educating the public about the importance of spay/neuter, encouraging young people to make a positive difference in the life of an animal, and underscoring the importance of rescue in the health and vitality of a community.

Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We are committed to taking care of the dogs and cats in the shelter and finding them happy homes. We also strive to raise awareness, provide education and work to better the living conditions at the shelter. The shelter is located at 1356 NW 9 Hwy in Parkville, Mo - 816.587.0918. – friendsofparkville@hotmail.com – www.parkvilleshelter.com
