Kansas City, Mo. August 28, 2013 - Infusion Express (IVX) is pleased to announce the addition of Kimberly Gandy, M.D. Ph.D. as its Chief Medical Officer.

Infusion Express, based in Kansas City with infusion centers in Lees Summit, MO and Overland Park, KS is pleased to announce the addition of Kimberly Gandy, M.D. Ph.D. to its management team. Infusion Express administers safe, convenient physician-prescribed IV drug therapies. Focused on cost and convenience, IVX offers weekend and evening infusion times at both of its conveniently located facilities. Infusion Express is a way to spend less money and less time at hospitals.

Dr. Gandy is a physician, scientist, and entrepreneur known for her comprehensive approach to patient care. She is internationally recognized for her expertise in transplantation clinical care and science. After training at Duke and Stanford, she moved on to direct programs in both pediatric congenital heart surgery and transplantation at several institutions. Dr. Gandy is a member of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation, one of the largest and most influential international organization in heart transplantation. She is also chair of the Basic Science Committee and a senior editor of the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation. More recently, Dr. Gandy has directed her efforts to devising solutions for patient adherence in medical care, recognizing that all scientific and clinical efforts will never reach full potential if patients are not able to adhere to their medical regimens.
