3 Northland Eagles

Boy Scout Troop #96 celebrates the advancement of its first three Eagle Scouts on Saturday, August 24th, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Parish Gym. This young Troop was established in 2009 at St. Patrick’s Parish.
The rank of Eagle Scout is achieved by less than 4% of scouts. To earn Scouting’s highest award these boys had to earn a minimum of 21 selected merit badges, serve as a leader in the troop, and complete a major community service project. They have all served in different leadership positions. Riley Thomas Nible, son of Tom & Krisha Nible earned Eagle on July 13, 2012. Riley graduated Liberty High School in 2013. Riley’s Eagle Scout project involved building bookshelves for Winnwood Baptist Church. David Henry Comer, son of Frank & Robin Comer earned Eagle on December 12, 2012. David graduated St. Pius X High School in 2013 and is a freshman at University of Missouri. David’s Eagle Scout project consisted of building two park benches for St. Patrick Parish. Nicholas Joseph VanBebber, son of Marcia VanBebber earned Eagle on July 20, 2013. Nick is a senior at Oak Park High School. Nick’s Eagle Scout project involved building a baseball field drag for St. Patrick Parish Baseball Field.
