Oil Painters of America's Eastern Regional Exhibition of Traditional Oils at Topeka gallery

The Oil Painters of America (OPA) will hold its 2013 Western Juried Exhibition of Traditional Oils at the SouthWind Art Gallery in Topeka, Kansas, September 6 through October 26, 2013. Artists, collectors and art enthusiasts will find an unparalleled collection of traditional oil paintings representative of the high quality of work being produced by professional oil painters today. An opening reception will be held for artists, collectors, the public and press on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with the awards presentation at 7:00 p.m. Paintings will be available for sale at the opening reception and throughout the duration of the exhibition.

This year’s show will feature approximately 100 paintings by some of North America’s best oil painters, including many OPA Master Signature Members as well as some of today’s most talented emerging artists.

This year’s Juror of Awards is Master Signature Artist Ned Mueller who resides in Renton, Washington. His artwork is represented by some of the nation’s most distinguished galleries coast to coast. Mr. Mueller will hold a workshop September 4 – 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Total cash awards for this year’s Western Regional are $11,500, including a $4,000 Best of Show.

The public is invited to view these exceptional works of art throughout the exhibition period. All pieces in the exhibition are for sale. Gallery viewing hours during this event will be from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday. Closed Sunday.
