Matt Ford Hosts Drive 4 UR Community to Benefit Baby Grace
Matt Ford of Kansas City, Missouri, will host a Drive 4 UR Community event on Saturday, August 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the event, patrons will earn a $20 donation to Baby Grace for every test drive taken, up to $6,000. The local car dealership hopes to achieve that $6,000 before the end of the day.
Baby Grace is a support program that was founded on November 16, 2006, at the Buckner United Methodist Church. The goal of the program is to provide both support and education to teenage and young parents, as well as older parents or guardians who seek out extra help.
As part of the program, parents can receive diapers monthly, distributed by a partnering local diaper bank, Happy Bottoms. In addition, the charitable organization provides gently used items essential for infants and toddlers, such as blankets, strollers, clothes, books, and high chairs, among others. Baby Grace also provides educational opportunities for the families that it serves, ranging from autism awareness to literacy programs.
Baby Grace currently serves 450 families and sees between 70 and 150 of those families every month.
“We’re incredibly excited to be teaming up with such a great charity,” commented Ryan Matt, owner and general manager of Matt Ford. “Baby Grace does great work in our community, and we’re thrilled to be able to contribute to that work with the Drive 4 UR Community event.”
