Questions about Obamacare to bring business owners together at Central Exchange

Questions and concerns about Obamacare to bring business owners together Tuesday, July 22, 2013 at Central Exchange Kansas City, MO (July 22, 2013): The ‘Obamacare’ legislation is weighing on the minds of many Kansas City area businesses. To address its ramifications, five organizations have joined together to co-sponsor “Understanding the ‘Affordable Care Act’ for Business Owners and Entrepreneurs,” on Tuesday afternoon, according to Nancy Zurbuchen, director, Kansas City Council of Women Business Owners (KC-CWBO).
“Obamacare is upon us – business owners cannot procrastinate any longer! The content for this meeting has been prepared specifically for the interests of business owners and entrepreneurs. This is no fluffy overview; the material is concise, meaty . . . and above all understandable!”

According to Zurbuchen, content will include information about the implementation timeline, especially for 2013-2014; new employer mandates; tax information; and compliance requirements for small businesses of all sizes. Attendees will receive an up-to-the-minute, multi-page handout entitled “The Healthcare Playbook: A Small Business Guide to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act,” compliments of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). Elizabeth Milo, JD, senior executive counsel, NFIB, is the subject matter expert.
