SCORE is offering a FREE Workshop Series “Simple Steps to Starting A Business” Saturday, July 13, 20, and 27, at 4747 Troost, room 114.
Session 1, Saturday, July 13, 9:30 am – noon “Startup Basics” focuses on testing your business idea and identifying the key factors that influence startup success.
Session 2, Saturday, July 20, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, “Business Concept/Marketing” provides step-by-step guidance in researching your idea, your market, and your competition. The session covers pricing strategies, positioning, and provides an introduction to marketing methods and tools to maximize customer reach.
Session 3, Saturday, July 27, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. “Financial Projections/Funding Sources and Next Steps” focuses on learning how to forecast cash flow, sales revenue and build solid financial forecasts. “Funding Sources” will provide an inside view of how a bank assesses the merits of business plans and loan applications.
