Jayhawk File Express is now AAA Certified by the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) for Micro Media, Computer Hard Drive and Non-Paper Media destruction in addition to their existing AAA Certification for Paper/Printed Media according to Cheryl Creviston, President. “We are very pleased to now hold all certifications issued by NAID and to be the only full-service records center in Kansas to do so,” Creviston said. NAID is the only association that certifies information destruction companies and is recognized worldwide as the authority on information and identity protection. Multiple regulations now require organizations and businesses to have written information destruction and protection procedures including a written process for selecting a qualified, reputable data destruction vendor. Specifying a NAID Certified information destruction vendor establishes recognized selection criteria, effectively satisfying legal requirements. Jayhawk File Express has been in business serving the records and information management needs of businesses in northeast Kansas and across the country for over 17 years. They have been NAID Certified for Paper/Printed Media destruction for ten years. This latest move into non-paper media, micro media and hard drive destruction marks a new chapter in the company’s continuing goal of helping businesses manage, access, and protect their vital information. A substantial investment in state-of-the-art equipment was necessary to provide the destruction services demanded by the certification requirements. A Whitaker Brothers 215 Disintegrator and a SEM Hard Drive Punch were recently installed at Jayhawk File Express and are now in use destroying hard drives, micro film and fiche, as well as CD’s, DVD’s and other optical and magnetic media. It is the customer that ultimately benefits from a vendor’s NAID Certification according to Robert Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of NAID. “NAID Certified vendors know that their customers’ legal compliance requires the type of scrutiny and system of verification the program offers,” Johnson said. “Our company is dedicated to being the best at everything we do,” Creviston stated. “Adding AAA NAID Certification for destruction needs was critical to meet our goal of being the one company that other companies can turn to regardless of their information management needs.” Anyone wanting to know more about NAID Certification may visit the NAID website, www.naidonline.org or contact Pete Bostwick with Jayhawk File Express at 785-783-4814 or firstname.lastname@example.org. ?
