Two Powerful Leaders from Oakland. California --Cynthia Winton Henry-InterPlay cofounder and Soyinka Rahim, Master teacher are coming to Kansas City for a transformative weekend deepening our connection to our Inner Altar, Earth, Race and the everyday art of making peace within ourselves and the world. The weekend event on July 12-14 is held at Bell Yoga Studio in Kansas City.
InterPlay is an experiential educational methodology that assists people in waking up to our physical, creative, imaginative and intuitive selves, gently developing deeper awareness and presence to oneself, others and Spirit (Holy Mystery) in our daily life.
“An Altarpiece to Alter Peace “ retreat, designed to uplift the dream for peace by exploring Earth elements through the practice of altar making. Altars tell us what and who is important. Remembering our sacred connection to Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, we’ll use InterPlay movement, story, breath and songs to engage the common connection underlying all cultural differences. We’ll highlight artful altar making and creative processes to strengthen personal and collective life, weaving multicultural stories and wisdom into a visual, kinetic peace celebration.
Each segment of the weekend is designed to highlight an Earth element through artful altar making and creative processes where young and old can find new ways to strengthen personal and collective life in the world. This intergenerational workshop is open to everyone.
Pricing is $299, does not include room and board. No one turned away.
