Missouri Scores an "F" On Fertility Report Card: Missouri Center for Reproductive Medicine Takes Steps to Improve Missouri's Grade Through Outreach and Education

(Columbia, Missouri) The state of Missouri has scored 47th out of the 50 U.S. states and received a grade of "F" in the most recent RESOLVE State Fertility Scorecard listings. The ranking was determined by the National Infertility Association's (RESOLVE) evaluation on statistics provided by the National Survey on Family Growth. The survey evaluated criteria such as: •Insurance Mandate Climate for Fertility Treatments in Missouri •Legislative Climate in Missouri •Number of Accredited Fertility Clinics in Missouri relative to its infertile population •Number of RESOLVE support groups available in Missouri It is estimated that nearly 124,000 Missourians suffer from a form of infertility. This includes both males and females.

To aide in bringing about awareness of infertility and available fertility treatment techniques, the Missouri Center for Reproductive Medicine (MCRM) will be hosting two free seminars in Columbia Missouri on July 10, 2013 and July 11, 2013. Each seminar will take place from 6 to 8 PM at 3215 Lemone Industrial Blvd, Suite 200, in Columbia, Missouri and each will include a free dinner for the registered guests. Additionally, all registered guests will receive a special discounted rate for use on future fertility treatments. They will also be entered into a raffle where one will win a free fertility treatment cycle.

These free seminars provide prospective and new patients a understanding of available fertility treatments and fertility preservation procedures that MCRM offers. These include: •In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) •Immunology Screening •Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) •Egg/Sperm/Embryo Freezing Each seminar will be hosted by Dr. Peter Ahlering, FACOG, Medical director of MCRM, and the MCRM staff.
