KELLY HENDRICKS, M.D. ELECTED TO BOARD OF STATEWIDE ORTHOPAEDIC ASSOCIATION Missouri State Orthopaedic Association elects Board of Directors

JEFFERSON CITY—Missouri’s statewide association of Orthopaedic physicians has elected its officers and board of directors for the upcoming year. At its 44th Annual Meeting in St. Louis, members of the Missouri State Orthopaedic Association elected Kelly Hendricks, M.D of the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas to serve on its Board of Directors. Dr. Hendricks is an Orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee reconstruction. “Officers and directors of the Missouri State Orthopaedic Association are recognized by their peers as leaders in Orthopaedic medicine,” said Mary Phillips, Executive Director. “As one of the country’s premiere orthopaedic associations, it is an honor to be selected to this leadership position.”
Founded in 1969 as a not-for-profit organization, MSOA advocates at the state and federal level for promotion of the science and art of orthopaedic medicine, protection of public health, and betterment of orthopaedics. It is the only statewide organization representing orthopaedic physicians and surgeons with members in Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois. Members of the association are orthopaedists specializing in the diagnosis, care, and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. The orthopaedist's scope of practice includes disorders of the body's bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. Orthopaedic physicians have completed four years of medical school and at least five years of an approved residency in orthopaedics. In addition, they must pass a comprehensive oral and written examination and be certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. For more information about MSOA please visit
