Michael Smith Restaurant to offer La Grande Notte

Michael Smith Restaurant in the crossroads will now offer La Grande Notte (The Big Night) every Wednesday starting May 15th, 2013. A new Prix Fixe Italian tasting Menu will be offered each week on Wednesdays along with the regular full menu at Michael Smith, 1900 Main Street, Kansas City, MO.

The $45 tasting menu will change every week and all Italian wines will be offered at ½ price to accompany the Big Night menu. the May 15th menu will feature a Warm Mushroom Salad with Poached Duck Egg, Arugula, Frisee and Shaved Parmesan, followed by Caramelle “Candy Wrapper” Stuffed with Stracchino Cheese with Asparagus and Fresh Basil.

A main course of Whole Branzino (European Sea Bass) Roasted in the Wood Fired Oven with Zucchini, Olives, Capers and Pistachios. The dessert course will be Spring Strawberry Aperol Granita and Almond Cookies.

“We have been asked time and again by our patrons for seasonal, authentic Italian cooking with our handmade pastas and house-made sauces,” said Michael Smith. “Big Night does this... once a week, while still allowing diners to enjoy our regular menu."
