Biking Music Festival Pedaler’s Jamboree Returns for Fifth Year Weekend bicycle/music festival - May 25th & 26th

The wheels are in motion for the summer kick-off event the Pedaler's Jamboree. The Jamboree is a fun-filled weekend music/bicycle tour on the Katy Trail from Columbia to Boonville, MO, on May 25th and May 26th. Participants will experience live music in towns and small stops on their 30-mile adventure to and from Kemper Park. The event is truly a celebration of friends, bicycles, music, and adventure. With 1,500 participants last year, the Jamboree looks to be bigger and better than ever in 2013!

Bicyclists will depart from Columbia, MO, on the morning of Saturday, May 25th. They will drop off their overnight packs at the check in and prepare for a weekend of relaxed bike riding, music, and fun. Participants will experience the scenic views of the Katy Trail State Park as they ride on crushed limestone trails flanked by cliffs and the Missouri River.  The final destination, Boonville's awesome Kemper Park, will once again host the feature event with a headlining performance by Pokey LaFarge, as well as J.D Wilkes and the Dirt Daubers and Man in the Ring. Overnight camping at Kemper Park will be free for all registered riders! Hotel/motel accommodations are available at local establishments. There will be food available at restaurants throughout the town of Boonville as well as food vendors at Kemper Park.

The following day, riders are encouraged to either leisurely head back to Columbia or continue with another full day of bicycle riding and music to Hartsburg with the music of the Hill Benders.  Overnight bags will be waiting for riders upon return (from noon - 5 pm).  Bicycle tour passes are available for $35 - $55.  There are a limited number of tickets (3,000) available for the ride.

For those not interested in the ride, tickets will be available for the festivities at Kemper Park in Boonville.  Gates open at 3 pm for festival goers, and passes also include overnight camping.  Tickets are available for the music festival for $15.
